This week, the Cornwall based business, Crowdfunder is hosting its Summer Experience event to celebrate raising over £40 million for projects around the UK. Taking place at Crowdfunder’s beachside Newquay offices, the event will be attended by leaders from global businesses including Virgin, Santander, JC Decaux, Tesco and M&S. Guests will be able to get involved with live crowdfunding and hear about the incredible growth Crowdfunder has achieved in recent months and how being located in Cornwall has helped the business compete at the very top of its game.
The party will also be showcasing one of the most ambitious projects that Crowdfunder has worked with to date, the Ox Vehicle. Developed by former McLaren Engineer Gordon Murray and his team, the Ox is the world’s first flat-packed vehicle, designed to benefit people living in remote communities throughout Africa and other parts of the developing world. The Ox team will be completing a whistle-stop tour of Cornwall via the Eden Project and Watergate Bay before reaching the Crowdfunder offices.
For the Cornwall Trade and Investment team, the evening is the perfect opportunity for us to showcase what business in Cornwall is really about: innovation, creativity and dynamism. We’re looking forward to helping Crowdfunder celebrate their much-deserved successes and demonstrate that Cornwall really is the place for next-generation businesses.
