Newquay based PR agency, Voice Communications, has just been awarded the coveted B-Corp certification. The certification shines a spotlight on Voice as part of a new wave of global businesses, committed to balancing the triple bottom line (people, planet and profit), whilst striving to make the world a better place. Joining a growing community of B-Corp businesses in Cornwall, Voice, which established a presence in the South West in October 2018, is based at C-Space in Newquay. C-Space is a brand new working space created via a collaboration between Crowdfunder and the Real Ideas Organisation (RIO).
A B-Corporation is a purpose-driven business, dedicated to creating positive impacts for their communities, teams, clients and the environment. This is an ethos that has always been part of the fabric of Voice – an agency which has successfully grown with a core set of values at its heart.
After beginning its B-Corp journey back in September 2019, over the past seven months Voice has met specific environmental, social, governance, customer and community benchmarks outlined by B-Corp. These standards were backed-up through evidence which was submitted by Voice, highlighting the company’s commitment to looking after its people, supporting its clients and safeguarding the planet.
Founded by Managing Director, Nichola Cain, in 2006 over the past 14 years Voice has been committed to proactively inspiring and nurturing its people and clients – growing a team of industry experts who are passionate about shining a light on purpose driven organisations and businesses and all share the company’s values.
“We are super proud to have become part of the international B-Corporation community – a community which echoes Voice’s ethos and mirrors our values. Balancing the triple bottom line, people, planet and profit, has always been part of our culture at Voice and it’s an incredible achievement for us as a business to make it official.”

Voice works collaboratively with businesses and organisations globally to amplify their message and highlight their purpose through PR, marketing, and digital services – ultimately making a positive difference.
Working with clients as an extension of their team, Voice provides services to organisations in the South West and throughout the UK in a range of industries, including green energy, construction hospitality, tech, not for profit, home improvement, recycling and waste management, travel and leisure, and the charity sector.
Alongside growing its client base, Voice is dedicated to supporting charities and similar organisations through pro-bono support. Recently, Voice has been a source of support for The Hugs Foundation, a Cornwall-based equine rescue and rehabilitation charity. During these unprecedented times, Voice has been helping the charity pro-bono to raise awareness through social media and fundraising to encourage donations. In addition, Voice has provided consultancy and mentoring support.
Newquay based Oltco, a client since October 2018, is a leading sustainable resin driveway company with franchises across the UK. Voice has played key a role in the company’s growth with the launch of the world’s first driveway solution made from waste plastic already in circulation, Recycle Bound, launching new franchises, gaining media coverage and securing interviews. Voice has also played an educational role sharing its expertise in PR and marketing with new franchise owners. Voice’s partnership with Oltco has created a deeper relationship, becoming less about business and more about people.
Johnny Pearce, Co-Director of Oltco, says: “We are over the moon and very proud to hear that Voice has become a B-Corporation. The team at Voice has been so committed to Oltco, always going above and beyond for us. The results speak for themselves and have exceeded our expectations time and time again, including national, local and regional coverage. Voice always has Oltco’s best interests front of mind and the team is totally in line with our ethos to feel good about the work we do and the decisions we make. Voice has played an integral part in our growth, including the launch of Recycle Bound, and the team is part of the Oltco family. We’re excited about our work with this inspiring agency as they continue to support us with our sustainability communications and messaging.”
