The Cornwall & Isles of Scilly Kickstart Grant Scheme will open for applications from local businesses at 10am on Wednesday 2nd September.
The grant aims to help businesses in their COVID-19 recovery and applicants will have to provide details of how they have been impacted by the Coronavirus pandemic.
Grants of up to £5000 will be available. One is specifically aimed at tourism-related businesses, while the other is open to any small or medium-sized business impacted by the pandemic. As part of the application process you will be asked if your business supports tourism to determine which funding allocation the grant will come from.
100% of the money will come from government with no obligation for businesses to contribute financially, and activities funded through the grant can include:
Applications will be submitted via an online portal accessible via this web page and, with the expected high demand for the grants, applications will be assessed and awarded in the order they are received. After receiving the first 250 fully completed applications the online application portal will close whilst these applications are processed. Once this initial assessment has been completed the website will re-open for further applications. This process will be repeated until all the funds are allocated.
