Cornwall Trade and Investment are looking for Cornwall-based food & drink businesses who want to explore the UK as a growth market. Supplying to the rest of the UK is an effective way of expanding your customer base and gives you the potential to scale without having to enter a foreign market.
On this trade mission, businesses will have the chance to meet with buyers from large multiples such as M&S, as well as smaller speciality food stores. The workshop will provide an overview of the UK market and trends, certification and accreditation as well as a panel session on supplying restaurants and logistics and includes speakers like Jess Corsair from LEAF as well as Colin Girdler from Peter Green Fresh Logistics and Consolidators.
The mission will be targeted & bespoke and will take place on 29th & 30th of September and will consist of:
“The UAE was on our agenda for some time but we’ve not had the internal resource to action any movement on this new market. However, being involved in the UAE virtual trade mission has given us the push we needed and we are very pleased to have been part of this programme.”
Teresa Page, Ideal Foods
The event is fully funded by de minimis state aid – but you need to be able to commit fully to the mission.
