Cornwall Trade and Investment Showcases Region’s Geo-Resources Potential at PDAC Toronto 2024

Cornwall Trade and Investment will be attending the Prospectors & Developers Association of Canada (PDAC) Convention in Toronto, Canada, from 3rd-6th March, 2024. This annual event, regarded as the premier international mineral exploration and mining convention, provides an exceptional platform for Cornwall to showcase its rich Geo-Resources potential and investment opportunities to a global audience.

Cornwall Trade and Investment will be exhibiting at the conference in collaboration with the University of Exeter’s Geo-Resources sector development team, Cornwall Mining Alliance, and businesses from Cornwall including Petrolab, Gravity Mining, Wardell Armstrong, Mine Smart, KMO Fleet, 3DMSI, Paterson & Cooke, and Global Mine Design.

Nicola Lloyd, Cornwall Trade and Investment says:

“We are thrilled to have the opportunity to showcase Cornwall’s potential at PDAC and engage with industry leaders, investors, and stakeholders from around the world.

Cornwall has a strong track record in mining and mining services, with a network of 100+ businesses operating across the globe. In addition, the region’s commitment to sustainable exploration and extraction, coupled with an abundance of high-quality metals and minerals beneath the earth’s surface, have resulted in Cornwall being recognised by the Department for Business and Trade as a High Potential Opportunity for trade and investment.”

Throughout the convention, the delegation will participate in networking events, panel discussions, and one-on-one meetings, fostering valuable connections and collaborations with key players in the global mining industry.

Cllr Louis Gardner, Portfolio Holder for Economy at Cornwall Council says:

“Cornwall’s presence at PDAC Toronto 2024 underscores our commitment to promoting the region as a premier destination for mining investment. We look forward to building on the momentum generated at the convention and continuing to support the growth and success of Cornwall’s mining sector.”
