Trade and Investment Manager
An exciting opportunity to become a member of the Cornwall Trade and Investment team by promoting Cornwall and Isles of Scilly as a business destination to potential inward investors and foreign direct investors wishing to exploit UK, European and international markets.
The post holder will hold an understanding of business growth, development, and expansion enablers across UK and international markets, and acting as a key point of contact for staff at all levels of the organisation and for local, national, and international government officials and businesses. Acting as an ambassador for Cornwall and IoS, delivering strategic and public facing activity to develop the region’s economic potential.
The role will assume responsibility for the coordination of key activities including a high quality intelligence-led research/lead generation function to maximise the quantity and quality of the inward investment pipeline.
To deliver high-quality customer and account management service to maximise conversion of leads/opportunities into delivered outputs and see businesses successfully locate in the region and to provide aftercare services to landed businesses to enable monitoring and reporting of business growth, including job creation.
The role support Cornwall businesses in the development of export markets through active trade delegation programmes, assessment of grant applications, and provide strategic support to priority businesses in the region, increasing the likelihood of their retention and growth.
