Leading entrepreneurs, business leaders, and innovators from across the Celtic nations will gather in Falmouth next month for a prestigious business event.
Cornwall has been announced as host of the 2025 Interceltic Business Forum, organised in partnership with Cornwall Trade and Investment (CTI).
The 2025 forum follows successful editions in Lorient, Galway and Cardiff and will bring the Celtic nations together to uncover untapped opportunities and foster collaboration across key industries.
Charles Kergaravat, Founder of the Interceltic Business Forum said:
“The Interceltic Business Forum is not just a conference — it’s a dynamic platform where Celtic entrepreneurs, business leaders, and policymakers come together to strengthen trade, foster collaboration, and open new markets. By working together, we create opportunities that drive economic growth and shape a prosperous future, all while honoring our shared heritage.”
Lord John Hutton, Chair of Cornwall and Isles of Scilly Economic Forum, will open the event, which will take place on Friday, April 25, at the National Maritime Museum, Falmouth.
Delegates will benefit from a packed agenda of keynote speeches, panel sessions, fireside chats and masterclasses, with representation from all the Celtic nations. Topics will cover AI and language, how to do investor outreach, economic development, place-making and more.
Cornwall’s B2B businesses have a unique chance to connect with other companies, policymakers and investors from the Celtic nations.
A number of Cornish companies will give presentations, including sustainable packaging company, Flexi-Hex, AI and product company, Hertzian, and health technology company, Ultramed.
Nicola Lloyd from Cornwall Trade and Investment said: “Cornwall has a vibrant business landscape and is a leader in the green revolution. The Interceltic Business Forum is a fantastic platform to showcase our capabilities and dynamic business environment, foster innovation and drive sustainable economic growth across the Celtic nations.
“By bringing Celtic businesses together, we can facilitate new relationships that could help Cornish businesses scale up and explore new markets.”
As event hosts, Cornwall Trade and Investment will take the opportunity to promote the power of Diaspora with the launch of a new Cornish Diaspora Strategy, ‘Global Cornish’.
The new strategy has been written on behalf of CTI by experts at The Diaspora Institute, including Kinglsey Aikins, who will deliver a keynote speech and chair a panel session at the forum, exploring the power of Diaspora in broadening business opportunities.
Nicola adds:
“The new Diaspora Strategy is a significant step in strengthening Cornwall’s connections with its global communities. It will focus our efforts on expanding business opportunities and fostering deeper international ties. For those who want to discover more about Diaspora communities, the Interceltic Business Forum is a must-attend event.”
The forum concludes with refreshments and a networking session, featuring music from Cornwall’s Oll an Gwella Male Chorus – who will sing in Cornish, Welsh and French – and drinks from Cornish brands.
The event is free and includes lunch and cream tea.
